Veterinary Receptionist

Are you passionate about animals and great with people? We are looking for a friendly, organized Veterinary Receptionist to join the team at Martha Lake Vet Clinic — an AAHA-accredited, privately owned, full-service general practice committed to high-quality medicine and outstanding client care.

You will be the first person our clients see and the voice they hear on the phone. It is a busy desk, and the best days are the ones where you keep it calm.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, and run check-ins and check-outs
• Answer phones, schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar
• Maintain electronic medical records and some paper files
• Handle payments, invoices and treatment estimates
• Keep communication moving between clients, veterinarians and technicians
• Support clients through difficult visits with warmth and discretion

Qualifications

• Comfortable with computers — scheduling software, email and basic word processing
• Strong phone manner and the ability to juggle several things at once
• Calm and kind under pressure, including during emotional appointments
• Saturday availability required
• Veterinary or medical front-desk experience a plus, but not required

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 7 PM; Saturday rotation, 9 AM – 4 PM.
